One of my favorite treats ever is marzipan. This is partially because it tastes amazing, but I think it also had to do with the memories I associate with it. For me, Christmas time usually involves a red wrapper square of Ritter Sport dark chocolate filled with marzipan, complements of my dad. Christollen? marzipan. Morning cup of coffee at my favorite second families house? Marzipan horns. Geology themed party? Marzipan trio-bites (or marzi-pangea if we’re feeling lazy). De-skinning almonds and procrasta-baking in good company in my co-op? Marzipan.
